Have been using with HAC-504 for years - typically replace every month.
We've tried generic filters bought on eBay, and they're functional, but the genuine Honeywell is well worth the little extra money. Longer lasting and most importantly, puts more humidity in the air. Water usage is noticeabley more. In short, love them!
I consider myself a humidifier connoisseur - I've tried multiple brands, and my hygrometer shows the Honeywell Humidifier to be the best. You can literally feel the difference when you turn this baby on! I also tried the generic replacement filters and they do not provide as much humidity as the Honeywell brand ones do. It's worth it to buy these, and I love that I can set seasonal reminders to buy them on the website. I'll be a Honeywell customer for life!
