AHAM Verifide

This air purifier for allergies is AHAM (Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers) Verifide meaning that it has been independently tested to ensure its efficiency in reducing smoke, dust and pollen in the suggested room size. (medium room air purifier) The AHAM assigns a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) Rating that measures the volume of filtered air delivered by an air cleaner. The Honeywell HHT290 HEPA Clean Tower Air Purifier received the following CADR Rating:

Filter Replacement

• The HHT290 requires two Honeywell HRF201B U replacement filters.
• The initial filters are included but must be removed from their protective plastic wrapping before first use.
• The filters are not washable and should not be immersed in water.
• Replace both filters approximately every four months. Replacement frequency may vary based on use and indoor air conditions.
• Install each filter with the black carbon side facing outward toward the rear grille. Leave the black pull tabs accessible for easier removal.
• After replacing the filters, turn on the purifier and hold the Filter Reset button for approximately five seconds or until the filter light turns off.

Air Purifier Placement

• Place the air purifier upright on a firm, flat and level surface.
• Allow at least three feet of clearance between the purifier and walls, furniture or curtains.
• Do not block the rear air intake or top air outlet.
• Place the purifier near an electrical outlet and plug it directly into the wall. Do not use an extension cord or power strip.
• For better performance, operate the purifier with doors and windows closed.
