The red filter check LED will illuminate when it is time to replace the filter after 4 months of operation of the air purifier. When the filter check light remains on, it is time to replace the Dual Action HEPA-Type Filters and reset the filter monitor. With the unit powered on, press the Filter Reset button below the LED filter check light and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the light turns off. Depending upon your individual usage (environment and hours used), you may need to replace the filters more or less frequently. If the Dual Action HEPA-Type Filters are replaced before the red LED light turns on, the Filter Reset button should be reset at the same time.
Turn off and unplug the air purifier before inspecting it. Make sure the protective plastic wrapping has been completely removed from both Dual Action HEPA-Type Filters. The filters are wrapped before shipping and restricted airflow may occur if the unit is operated with the wrapping still in place.
If the wrapping has already been removed, the filters may be clogged with dust and other airborne particles. Check the filters and replace both with Honeywell HRF201B replacement filters if they appear dirty. These filters are not washable.
Also make sure the rear air intake and top air outlet are not blocked by furniture, curtains or other objects.
