This comprehensive kit is designed to provide a full filter refresh for large Honeywell units. It includes three stackable True HEPA Filter F units and one Carbon Pre-Filter A (which includes a cutting template if needed for custom fitting).
Which air purifier models are compatible with this kit?
While specifically designed for the popular Honeywell 50250 model, this kit is also compatible with several other large Honeywell and Sears Kenmore air purifiers.
How do I install the stackable filters?
To replace the filters in a 50250 unit, you simply stack the three HEPA Filter F units on top of each other so they are evenly aligned. Place the foam gasket on the very top of the stack to create a secure seal within the internal chamber. Finally, wrap the black carbon pre-filter around the outside of the entire stack using the provided fasteners.
How often should each part of the kit be replaced?
The components have different lifespans for optimal performance:
- Carbon Pre-Filter A: Should be replaced every 3 months to reduce odors and trap large particles.
- HEPA Filter F: These "Long Life" filters typically last between 1 to 3 years depending on the air quality and usage in your home.
