T9 thermostat and sensors really help with balancing systems with only one thermostat ( call for heat ) especially one pipe gravity steam systems.
They are easy to place around the home and connect to the thermostat. They also give the thermostat a more accurate temperature of rooms in the house.
I had a Honeywell T10 installed last November with 1 sensor. I loved how it kept a more consistent temperature in those rooms. I decided to add two more sensors to really help keep my house consistent by room. These are very easy to install and work great. Very happy with these Honeywell products.
We have a total of five sensors linked to our T9 thermostat to monitor temperatures throughout our house.. they all seem to be working. Rey well.
All together I have 7 sensors. I love the way they all work in unison to get the perfect temperature throughout the whole house. Very easy to setup!

The sensor is designed to detect large infrared heat sources (people), so it won't detect small animals on the ground or an automatic vacuum cleaner. We use the same technology that's in our Smart Home Security Motion Sensors.
Honeywell Home Smart Sensors are compatible with Series 3 or later T9 thermostats.
The rule of thumb is to use a smart sensor in each room where you spend a lot of time, and where the ideal temperature is important to you. We recommend one sensor in each bedroom, a sensor in the kitchen/living room, and a sensor in the basement.
You can add up to 20 smart sensors.
Smart Room Sensors work only with T9 and T10 Smart Thermostats.
The sensors use a Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR) detector to detect motion.
