Customer Reviews For The Honeywell Classic Portable Air Conditioner - 11,000 BTU, Black/Silver

This feature simplifies maintenance by automatically exhausting the water collected during the cooling process through the air outlet hose. Under normal operating conditions, this means there is no bucket to empty and no-drip operation. However, in extremely high-humidity settings, the unit may still require manual draining if the internal tank fills up.

Yes. The MN1CFS8 features a dedicated Dehumidifier Mode capable of removing up to 50 pints of moisture every 24 hours. For continuous operation in damp areas like basements, you can connect a standard garden hose to the continuous drain outlet, allowing the unit to run unattended.

With a cooling capacity of 11,000 BTU (ASHRAE) / 8,100 BTU (SACC), this "Classic Series" unit is optimized for targeted spot cooling in rooms up to 500 square feet. This makes it an efficient choice for living rooms, larger bedrooms, or dining areas.

The MN1CFS8 is designed for comfort with a relatively quiet sound level of 52 dbA during operation. It also includes a 24-hour programmable timer, allowing you to set the unit to turn off or on automatically, and a Sleep Mode that adjusts settings to maintain a peaceful environment throughout the night.

Unlike fixed window units, this air conditioner is designed for mobility. It features smooth-gliding caster wheels and built-in handles, making it easy to slide across floors. Since it requires no permanent installation, you can simply disconnect the window kit and move the unit to another room as needed.
