I like this product because it doesn't require a filter and the reservoir is large enough to take care of the humidity and small enough to have to have the water replenished every day.

Filter Free Best Way to Go

The cool mist humidifier we previously owned required a new filter flimsy paper that needing replacing monthly. The Honeywell Designer Series Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier does not need one and if you follow the cleaning instructions, works well. The visible mist is reassuring that it is working well, and the sound it creates is minimal. My son really likes that the nozzle is movable and there are low and high settings for how much mist he desires.

I ran my humidifier overnight in a very dry room and the humidity barely changed but my water level decreased quite a bit.

It may take a few days for your humidity to increase. Wood, rugs and other objects in your room will absorb moisture before you can feel the effects, if it is extremely dry.

How do I know my humidifier is operating properly?

You will see visible mist coming from your humidifier.

The power light is on but my humidifier is not putting out any visible mist.

You may need to clean your humidifier. There could be an excessive build up of minerals on the nebulizer.
