Nice cool mister

The mini cool mist Honeywell Humidifier is the second humidifier I've purchased from Honeywell. I use one in my office and one at hone for misting plants and use at night In my bedroom when needed. It does a very nice job especially with the rotating port for the mist to escape because you can aim the mist in any direction. The mini leaks a bit when you're trying to get it to the sink to refill but it hasn't been a huge issue. Overall, it's a convenient portable size and it creates a lot of cool mist without all the lights that a lot of cool misters have. I am enjoying it a lot!

What makes this "Mini" humidifier different from larger models?

The HUL525 is specifically designed for small spaces like desktops, nightstands, or nurseries. It has a compact footprint (roughly 8x8 inches) and a 0.5-gallon tank, making it much lighter and more portable than standard room humidifiers.

Do I need to buy replacement filters?

No. This is an ultrasonic, filter-free humidifier. It uses high-frequency vibrations to create a visible cool mist, saving you the expense and maintenance of replacing wicking filters.

Can I use essential oils in this humidifier?

Yes! But DO NOT add them into the tank. This humidifier features an Essential Oil Tray that can be used with your favorite essential oil for added enjoyment.

How long will it run before I need to refill it?

Despite its small size, the HUL525R can run for up to 24 continuous hours on its lowest setting. It features an Auto Shut-Off function that turns the unit off when the water level gets too low, and the power light will turn red to notify you that it's time for a refill.

Is it difficult to clean the small tank?

No. The tank is designed with a wide opening to make hand cleaning the interior much easier. The unit also comes with a small cleaning brush to help you reach the tighter areas of the base and the ultrasonic nebulizer. For even easier maintenance, you can use a Protec Antimicrobial Cleaning Cartridge to help keep the water fresh.

Protec Antimicrobial Cleaning Cartridges feature a patented antimicrobial, Aquastat that continuously works to hinder the growth of bacteria and mold. They're also capable of preventing the buildup of slime in the water and humidifier surfaces. Protec Antimicrobial Cleaning Cartridges work in all humidifiers and are safe/non-toxic. Aquastat contains no harsh chemicals or harsh acids making the cleaning action just as gentle as water on your humidifier surfaces and components.
