Q: How does the sensor detect people?
A: The sensor is designed to detect large infrared heat sources (people), so it won't detect small animals on the ground or an automatic vacuum cleaner. We use the same technology that's in our Smart Home Security Motion Sensors.

Q: My home has 3 bedrooms on one level and a basement; how many sensors should I use?
A: The rule of thumb is to use a smart sensor in each room where you spend a lot of time, and where the ideal temperature is important to you. We recommend one sensor in each bedroom, a sensor in the kitchen/living room, and a sensor in the basement.

Q: How many sensors can I add to my T9 Smart Thermostat?
A: You can add up to 20 smart sensors.

Q: Do the smart room sensors work with other Honeywell Home thermostats?
A: Smart Room Sensors work only with T9 and T10 Smart Thermostats.

Q: How does the sensor detect motion?
A: The sensors use a Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR) detector to detect motion.

Easy to install

Super simple to set up and connect. Now, the upstairs bedrooms control the temperature up there instead of the thermostat at the top of the stairs. A big difference.

Handy peripheral!

I placed the remote sensor in an upper story remote bedroom/bathroom used solely by guests in the house. It proves handy to set the temperature for guests preferences as well as monitor/control the temperature in the bathroom when the area is not in use. All this without need to climb the stairs.

Sensors

I finally able to balance the heat in my house, these sensors are great. I use 2 sensors and main thermostat and average the rooms.
