Just installed. It hasnt been tripped yet so dont really know if it works. Easy to install. Needs a better way to install on concrete. Needs a test button. I hate to soak the sensor since I dont know how to shut off short of pulling the battery.

Just what I needed!

This was the only water sensor that I could find that had the ability to trigger when water hit any part of the sensing cable. Others I looked at just had a single probe. Installed around my sump pump and tested - works great for my purpose.

The concept, installation, and activation are excellent. The biggest downside, resulting in an average rating, is the alarm. The sound is not loud enough to be heard upstairs in a two-level house.

Honeywell's RWD41 water defense water-sensing alarm offers superior protection against leaks and water damage near potential trouble spots close to plumbing around the home or office. Patented 4-foot cable solution extends the detection zone offered by traditional spot detectors by 3100%. Water Sensing Cable detects water on entire length of cable. Place the cable in spots where you do not usually observe, water heaters, sump pumps, under sinks, around toilets, behind washing machines and dishwashers. 6 feet of Leader Cable allows the alarm unit to be mounted on walls or another room and 4 feet of sensing cable is included which is expandable up to 250 feet - the only system that can run around the entire perimeter of a room or basement. This unit also gives off a chirp sound when the battery is low.
