When temperatures fall below an acceptable level, the thermostat activates the battery warmer maintaining optimum battery temperature to ensure the generator starts efficiently. These kits are recommended for generators installed in regions where the temperature regularly falls below 32 degrees (Fahrenheit). Compatible with Honeywell 70kW-150kW Air-Cooled Home Standby Generators manufactured in 2008 to present.
