The new fan I ordered from Honeywell is to replace the old Honeywell fan that gave up its last gasp for us. If the new fan, which is now in service, is as good as the old one, in service 16 years, then you people are indeed the Kings of fan-making. Thanks!

The HF-910 replaced a Lasco 20 box fan, which created a stronger draft but was louder and a lot less practical. I use a fan to cool myself while riding my exercise bike indoors. The exercise bike is so boring after a few minutes that I like to watch television. I can hear the television better over the fan noise than I could with the Lasko, but I definitely sweat more with the HF-910 than I did the Lasko. The tilting mechanism of the HF-910 works well, and the base offers good stability. Ive not had to clean it yet, but I imagine the vacuum cleaner will suck the dust off OK. I would like an extra gear on this fan, but then it would be louder. This seems to be the trade-off with all fans.

This fan is a piece compared to the old HF-810. It barely moves more air than my lasko box fan that cost $20..... Its highest setting is about medium on the old version, so they have sucked all the power out of the fan. Save your money and just by a box fan or find an HF-810, cause the 910 is a cheap piece.

Love this fan! We just went back to the store and bought 3 more. Im tired of buying cheap box fans only to have them break. Ive been searching for years for a better replacement and this fan it perfect! Moves a ton of air and is nice and quiet relative to box fans. Hoping it has good parts & quality to last years. Time will tell.

These are the best fans I have ever had. They move a great amount of air and have a very long lif. We sleep with a fan and therefore we use it 365 days a year. So they are very well used. The last three we have had we know we have had them for 6 years or a little over. Two have gone out in the last 6 months, however, if you did not use it the way we do it would last a lot longer. Great fan. One disadvantage is not being able to remove cover to clean. All the advantages make up for the one disadvantage.
