Honeywell Media Filters are the Best!

I recommend only buying Honeywell pre-filters and media filters, as they do work well. I have asthma and they effectively filter out pollen, smoke, and kitchen smells. I previously purchased pre-filters and a media filter from a third-party company, and they emitted a strange smell. From now on, I am buying only Honeywell replacement pre-filters and media filters.

Good quality except height

This HEPA filter looked just like the original, expect when installed in the 50150 purifier the seals were not seated against the plastic interior no matter how hard the screw clamp was fastened. It turned out the height was around 1/4 too low. I had to add a circular ring of dense foam rubber as a large gasket to get the proper seal, then worked fine.

Fits as expected

The filter arrived in good condition, was packaged well for shipping, and is what I was expecting. I think it would be neat and useful if honeywell linked video of the their testing facility for how they verify/validate the performance of the filters.

This was identical to the original that came with my air filter. It seemed a tad pricey, but it was exactly what I wanted. It came expeditiously, despite being the early days of quarantine. I am very happy with the part and service. I know it should go without saying, but if you are looking for a replacement filter, please make sure you confirm the model number of your unit before ordering a replacement filter.

Fit perfectly

Fit perfectly and I can have confidence they are true HEPA filters. If you have bad allergies like I do, those two characteristics can be worth more than gold.

When in need of replacement filters, spend the extra few dollars on an OEM filter. It will outperform the generics and fit like new
