You may want to contact the manufacturer, Kaz 1-800-477-0457. They will be able to tell you the size of the room this heater can heat up to.

I have had this unit for 3 years. I did pay about $60 for it from Home Depot. It has always worked pretty good and warmed the room. The timer function would only work sometimes. It would shut itself off at will and not follow the program. I had it on last night and was getting ready for bed when I started to smell something burning. I went back to the bedroom and I could see smoke coming from the front of the machine. It looked like it was coming from the electronics section. I have used a delonghi heater for 15 years with no gagets inside and it still works perfectly! I like the high-tech stuff. But sometimes..that just causes MORE problems later. Back to low-tech for me. The Honeywell is pretty...but I thank GOD I was awake when this thing wanted to heat things up a bit TOO much!!!

This is the 3rd heater like this we have owned. The first two heaters the electronics quit working on the 3rd winter we had them. The most recent heater is into its 3rd winter and is leaking oil all over the floor. Luckily it wasnt on the carpet. Im not sure how much longer it will run but seems to putting the oil into the air as I can smell and feel it on things. These heaters work well and are semi easy on the electric bill. But because they are radiant heat must be run constantly to keep house at a steady temp. The only complaint I have is they seem to stop working during the third year forcing us to spend another 90 bucks on it. Seems like such a waste of materials as it looks like a quality product. I wish they would last longer or the stores that sell them would replace them. Not worth all the hassle of shipping it off. If we had taken the money spent on the three heaters and bought a more expensive portable heater like our hydro-sil we wouldnt be throwing away resources, money, time, etc. Or like I said, make servicing them easier. Maybe a longer better warranty.

My wife bought two of these about three years ago because our oil furnace went out and needed a heat exchanger, it took me three weeks in the dead of Jan to weld together another heat exchanger, in the mean time it was in the low 30s here and one of these oil filled heaters at each end of my house kept it a nice 68 degrees, Now in 2011 I find we need to use them again this year because of the economy and a lack of money to buy oil for the furnace. So far its 68 deg in my house with one in the hall way and one in the living room :Id love to have the money to buy about three more of these and run them instead of buying Middleast oil.

This heater has been keeping my home office area toasty several years now. My only complaint is one of the plastic wheels fell off in the first year, and a second wheel fell off in the second year. Cant roll it anymore or it will scrape & scratch the floor, so I have to pick it up and carry it to move it now, even if I just want to adjust a few inches. Not that easy when its already hot. Otherwise this heater does the job nicely. Got it on sale at a local store for about $60.

We were tired of the high LP gas bills for our ranch home. Our living room is about 24 x 22 and hard to heat since it was added on. The furnace is on the other end of our 70 long home.
We bought a HZ 709 heater last winter. It was amazing the amount of heat we received from it. It not only heated the large living room but also most of the kitchen. We really love it. We are planning on purchasing another for the bedrooms end of the house.
Thank you Honeywell, you saved us over $500.00 in LP gas from January to May 2011.

Purchased two units to reduce our expense heating with our propane central heating system. We were quite concerned that the electricity cost would offset any gain vs. the propane system. After two months electric bills have come and gone, I can only say, WOW. Electricity cost is negligible while we are saving big time on $3/gal. propane.
This is a high quality unit, looks good and creates very comfortable room temps. Only suggestion I would make is to have it programmable to start/stop at selected times, but otherwise, this is a great little unit.

We own 3 of these heaters and love them. They are safe and look nice in any room. We love the digital readout, thermostat, timer and controls.
The best space heater I have ever owned and definitely an energy saver. We keep our house thermostat set on 65 and use these heaters in the rooms we are actually in. Works great and saves us a LOT of money!
