I purchased three of these humidifiers. Right from the start, one made a loud rattling noise while running on even the lowest speed. The other two were fine at first, but within a few days all of them started making the same very loud noise. I returned all three.

I had to return the first unit because it sounded like a helicopter taking off. Was sent a replacement unit but had to pay for it and still have not received my refund on the first unit. Second unit sounds the same way but have not returned it because I have not received refund for first unit. Do not buy this Humidifier. It is terrible. Will go back to my Hunter fan units.

Ive purchased this item in the past and have been very happy with it. The only downside is the difficult time in removing the tank top. One of the reps suggested I push up on the valve before I fill the tank so am going to try that. Hopefully that will make it easier. Of course it doesnt help that I have arthritis in the joint of my right hand but it still works hard.

I had this product for almost 4 years and the motor died. I assume this product isnt for regular winter time use. Other than the motor dying it worked well for 4 years. What is the point of a permanent filter when the motors die ....
