Clumsy |
| The Honeywell TE923W Honeywell TE923W Deluxe Weather Station with Rain Gauge, Barometer, Thermometer, Wind Datais a clumsy collection of weather sensors. All sensors are separate and need to be mounted independently. This may be the proper arrangement for some installations however for my needs an integrated sensor pack is more practical. Also it is reported that the wireless range is severely limited....but i have no experience with the units operation for I never opened the package , but returned it the same day it arrived. I recommend a Davis Vantage Vue weather station. The Davis product is in the same cost range as the Honeywell, has an integrated sensor package and is operating wireless well over 200 feet, and through walls in my application. Documentation claims 1000 feet for line of sight. |
TE923W |
| This product has most all the features I desire. It is the most sensitive of all the other weather stations I have had. It is more accurate than others. The only thing I wish it had on the face is a date/time stamp with highs and lows. I love the lighted face and the remote control. |
Mine works fine, so far. |
| Reviews are a good thing, but generally not for these system's and I waited several year's to buy one because of the poor reviews and a better price tag. I really wanted the anemometer, so, I took a chance and so far mines working just fine. I haven't tried the software.
My major concern was getting a signal through my metal roof and several wall's and it's been working just fine for 3 month's now. Not real sure about the accuracy but it's nice to look at and the remote is really helpful. Recently we had some strong wind's and I'd watch with interest. The instructions that come with this don't clearly explain how you can check the daily history and I bought it for that. I had to go online and down load the instructions which are (for what ever reason) in more detail that what comes with the unit. The battery compartment's have a rubber gasket seal and stainless screws. These are real, real tiny..like whats on your glasses. It comes well packaged, with clamps and even all the batteries you'll need. Nice big base station with a cool hydraulic-like door to set it up or the remote. I used the remote, It's easier to see. All, in all I'm happy with it. Yes, I'd recommend one. |
Fantastic! - Easy to set up, a joy to use! |
| Bought this for my wife for her birthday. Super-easy to set up. She relies on it heavily on a day-to-day basis. It is fun for the kids to, as they get to wath the wind speed, rain fall, barometer reading, etc. |
Good Temp and Humidity - Bad Wind and Manual |
| Like some of the others here, I have been unable for six months to get the wind speed and direction to work. The temp and humidity have done a good job as has the rainfall mode, but the manual was apparently written by someone with a less than stellar command of English and is very difficult to understand. I would not recommend it to anyone. |

It programmed to sound before the actual alarm if the remote temperature for Channel one (1) will reach 32°F (0°C) and below. You can set this alarm for 15 to 90 minutes earlier than your actual alarm.
Ice Warning Alarm (PRE-AL) can be set if one or both - Weekday or Single alarm previously programmed.
Q: WHERE I CAN FIND MY LOCAL ALTITUDE?
A: To find out your altitude and current barometric pressure go to http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/ccus.html. Select the area nearest you. The altitude can also be found with a portable GPS receiver or topographical map. Barometric pressure can be obtained from the radio or TV weather programs

Q: WHAT IS MED / H?
A: MED/H is a Minimal Erythemal Dose per Hour and it is a threshold for skin redness or burning.
Q: WHY DATA ON MY PC IS DIFFERENT FROM THE DATA ON THE MAIN DISPLAY?
